Hieu Bui is an actor, writer, and director born in Saigon, Vietnam, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri by his older brothers and sister-in-law. He is a graduate of the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, where he honed his craft in acting.A three-time finalist for the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in playwriting, Hieu has established himself as a compelling voice in new work. His writing and directing credits include Eggs, Blanket, and Me Myself and Drew, presented at the Chain Theatre Festival.Hieu is also a practitioner of choreographic theatre, having trained with Enrique Pardo and Pantheatre in France. Additionally, he expanded his classical training through the BADA Mid-Summer Program at Oxford.
